MINISTRY OF EDUCATION HOLDS FIRST ACCOUNTING TO THE MINISTER FORUM
Prof Kwesi Yankah, Minister of State for Tertiary Education has asked all Heads of Reform Agencies under the Ministry to be ready to account for their stewardship on quarterly basis. He said this in his open address at the maiden Accounting to the Minister Forum at Accra on the 7th of June, 2019.
The Accounting to the Minister Forum was attended by Executive Directors of five Reform Institutions under the Ministry of Education and their Board and Council Chairpersons. These are the National Council for Curriculum and Assessment, the Ghana Education Service, GES, the National Council for Tertiary Education (NCTE), the National Teaching Council (NTC and the National Inspectorate Board (NIB). Each of the Reform Owners presented their accomplishments for the first quarter of 2019, outlining their key challenges and mitigation measures undertaken to overcome the identified risks.
Also present at the event were Dr Yaw Adutwum, Deputy Minister in charge of Basic Education, Mr Benjamin Gyasie, Chief Director of the Ministry and Mr Enoch Cobbinah, National Coordinator of the Reform Secretariat.
