In a landmark event marking the official commissioning of the Ghana Chamber of Commerce in Guyana on 22nd and 23rd May 2023, a high-profile panel discussion was held to explore and identify key sectors for collaboration, unlocking trade potential between the two nations.<\/div><\/div>
The event, dubbed “Unlocking Trade Potential: Identifying Key Sectors for Collaboration,” brought together government officials, business leaders, and industry experts from both countries to foster economic cooperation and strengthen bilateral ties.<\/div><\/div>
In my keynote address, I highlighted the role of education as a catalyst for economic development and emphasized the need for skilled workforce exchange and capacity building programs between Ghana and Guyana.<\/div><\/div>
I also pointed out the potential for collaboration in the fields of Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM) and Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET). With both countries seeking to enhance their skilled workforce, there is an opportunity for knowledge sharing, curriculum development, and teacher training programs.<\/div><\/div>
