The theme for the conference, \u201cEnsuring quality education in the free senior high school system amid resource scarcity – a shared responsibility” was graced by the President of the Republic, H.E. Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo, the Minister and many other dignitaries.<\/div><\/div>
Addressing a gathering of heads of schools, educators and stakeholders in the education sector, President Akufo-Addo commended CHASS for their dedication and resilience in fostering a conducive learning environment for the Ghanaian youth.<\/div><\/div>
The President, commenting on the successes and challenges of the programme at the second-cycle schools in contemporary times acknowledged that the Free SHS policy has significantly increased enrollment and improved access to quality education across the country.<\/div><\/div>
He announced forthcoming initiatives aimed at bolstering the education sector which include increased budgetary allocations and targeted investments in infrastructure.<\/div><\/div>
In the face of resource scarcity, we must work together – government, schools, parents, and communities – to ensure that the benefits of the Free SHS policies are not compromised by any inadequacies.<\/div><\/div>
