The Minister of Education joined senior officials from the Ministry of Education and the Ghana Education Service (GES) at the Accra Girls’ Senior High School for the launch of GES’s nationwide senior high schools fumigation project. This exercise in particular, is to ensure that our schools are free of bed bugs that have caused a great deal of discomfort to students.
GES has also included Private Senior High Schools in its fumigation exercise. In all, 546 boarding schools, 176 day schools, 28 special schools and 380 private SHSs will be fumigated across the country.
The health of our children is very important, and this government is committed to ensuring a safe and conducive environment for them to thrive and achieve desirable learning outcomes.
