Marking the launch of the 50th anniversary of the National Service Scheme, The Minister joined the President of the Republic, H.E Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo in commemorating this significant milestone.
The theme for the occasion, “Repositioning the Scheme for a Sustainable National Development,” reflects the commitment of the National Service Scheme to play a pivotal role in Ghana’s development agenda
The National Service Scheme, established 50 years ago, has been a cornerstone in the nation’s drive towards holistic development. It has provided a platform for young graduates to contribute their quota to the progress of the nation while gaining invaluable experiences.
President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo in his address, lauded the invaluable contributions of the NSS towards the socio-economic development of Ghana over the past five decades.
He emphasized the need to refocus and realign the scheme to address emerging challenges and seize new opportunities in the ever-evolving global landscape.
In a brief remark, he  applauded the scheme for its instrumental role in molding young leaders and contributing to the country’s growth.
As we celebrate the scheme’s golden jubilee, it is imperative that we envision its role in the context of a rapidly changing world.
