International Teacher’s Day, the Ghana Teacher Prize 2023 celebrated teachers

As 5th October marks International Teacher’s Day, the Ghana Teacher Prize 2023 celebrated teachers all over the country in a grand ceremony.
The ceremony, held at the Ghana Secondary Technical School in Takoradi was graced by the presence of His Excellency, President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo, who served as the guest of honor.
President Nana Akufo-Addo, addressing the gathered audience, commended the teachers for their unwavering commitment to nurturing the next generation of leaders.
He reaffirmed the government’s commitment to prioritizing education, outlining initiatives aimed at bolstering the educational infrastructure and enhancing teacher training programs.
In a brief address, I lauded the exceptional dedication and resilience demonstrated by Ghana’s educators, acknowledging their pivotal role in shaping the nation’s future.
I further highlighted the critical need for continuous investment in education, asserting that quality education is the cornerstone of progress and prosperity for any nation.
The Ghana Teacher Prize 2023 served as a platform to recognize outstanding educators from across the country. Various categories celebrated achievements in curriculum development, innovative teaching methods, and community engagement.
